About Ryan:
I was raised in Carthage, MO before journeying to Columbia where I completed a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri. Since 2000, I have called Kansas City home and began my career and am an esteemed alum of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Currently, I am a member of the Kansas City Life Insurance Company, where I have made significant contributions for the past 18 years, providing improvements to transform the company with modern technology.
Throughout my professional journey, Ryan has achieved remarkable milestones and garnered recognition for his exceptional work, including serving as a Professor for a Day at his alma mater, Mizzou. My commitment to service extends beyond my professional life, as I have served several roles including Assistant Commissioner on the board of directors for the Heart of America Softball League, Co-directed the Show-Me Show Down softball tournament, and member of the HASL Hall of Fame. I have also dedicated time and resources to organizations such as Save Inc, AIDS Walk Kansas City, and the ALS Association, always striving to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
I find joy in my family, hobbies, and passions. I support my husband, Curtis, in managing and assisting with the operations of The Pulse Performing Arts Center, a thriving dance studio. I indulge my love for the arts by attending many live local theatre performances. While officially retired from playing softball, I spend much of my time gardening, antiquing, and restoring our 123-year-old historic home in Old Hyde Park. In my downtime, I enjoy hosting friends and family, creating lasting memories at the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks.
I’m honored and excited to become more involved with KC Shepherd’s Center through Prom with a Purpose as a member of the Prom Court. Having watched my mother deal with aging and passing from ALS at the young age of 65, I saw the multiple challenges she faced with resources. KC Shepherd’s Center helps to alleviate a lot of those challenges through the many programs and resources they offer, providing valuable services to our older adults.
